This September 2018 wedding is still one of my favorites to date and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to post it!

Christie and Justin wanted their fall Santa Barbara Zoo wedding to be “fun, relaxed, unique, and memorable.” Between the animal encounters with the giraffes and flamingos, and the thoughtfully designed animal decor, this Santa Barbara wedding was certainly unforgettable.

The bride and groom travelled from Los Angeles to get married at the Santa Barbara Zoo near downtown Santa Barbara. They chose the zoo because of the unique and gorgeous atmosphere and the fact that their guests could interact with the animals: the “Flamingle” with the flamingos was very popular.

I shot a lot of film at this wedding at the request of the couple, and you can really tell the difference in the dreaminess of the shots and the way the film captures the light and details.

Rincon Events always does such a great job planning and catering their weddings at the Santa Barbara Zoo and Rincon Beach Club, it was a pleasure to work with them again.
