BREE AND HARRY WERE MARRIED ON THE BEACH IN CARPINTERIA, A TOWN THAT IS CLOSE TO THE GROOM’S FAMILY’S HEART. CHECK OUT THEIR CARPINTERIA BEACH ENGAGEMENT SHOOT TO SEE HIS GRANDPARENT’S MEMORIAL BENCH.
BREE HAD ALWAYS DREAMED OF HAVING HER TOES IN THE SAND ON HER WEDDING DAY, SO RINCON BEACH CLUB WAS THE PERFECT CHOICE FOR A GORGEOUS, SECLUDED BEACH CEREMONY AND AN INDOOR/OUTDOOR RECEPTION JUST STEPS FROM THE OCEAN.
The day started with the full wedding party getting ready in separate locations at a property on the grounds of the Santa Barbara Polo Club. In classic wedding style, the bridesmaids’ were busy getting beautified, but the groomsmen took a different route; frolicking around in the grass with White Claws (sponsorship anyone??).
Bree and Harry opted not to see each other before the ceremony, instead devising their own creative take on the first look- a “first shot,”- and yes we do mean that kind of shot (note Harry’s face when he realized I’d given him tequila because they were out of whiskey). The wedding party then traveled separately on the Santa Barbara Trolley down to the beach wedding ceremony that Events by Rincon had set up. Jen at The Twisted Twig did an amazing job as always with the bouquets and chuppah florals for this simple and sweetly decorated ceremony.
The ceremony and subsequent beach portraits were everything Bree and Harry envisioned- natural, sweet, and fun- really showing off their love and bond with each other and their friends and family. My favorite moment of the ceremony was watching Bree walk down the beach, barefoot and wearing delicate anklets, as Harry looked on emotionally. Most of the time I highly encourage a first look to calm the nerves and help the day move smoothly, but this just proves that a first look is not for everyone. Advice to future clients: do your wedding day your way! Take input and suggestions from your vendors, but ultimately this is YOUR day and you should be happy and comfortable with every decision you make.
