Carlee and Brian’s rustic wedding ceremony took place under the oak trees and was followed by a barn reception at Rancho Dos Pueblos in Santa Barbara, California.
This wedding was truly a labor of love for everyone involved. Carlee and Brian, along with their friends and family, were tasked with transforming an empty barn into their dream reception space, complete with stringing lights from the rafters, laying out tiles for a dance floor, and of course decorating the space with all kinds of DIY decor; including handmade paper rosettes, beer bottle vases and wood slices with their names burnt in.
Carlee took lots of inspiration from Pinterest when planning out her decor and wedding vision; even adding to her toast, “Eat your heart out Pinterest!” One of my favorite DIY details from this wedding was the wedding favors; paper succulents in tiny pots that Carlee and her mom made themselves. The succulents were laid out on a vintage ladder complete with a painted sign that said “Let love grow, please take a succulent.” Other favorite details included Carlee’s bridal shoes (yes to floral Ted Baker pumps), the beer growlers turned rose vases, and the bar trailer by Vintagique.
Carlee and Brian are such an adventurous couple and the perfect match for each other. I loved getting to know them beforehand on their Mammoth Lakes Engagement shoot, and they were so laid back and easy to work with on their wedding day. Clients like them are why I love what I do! Enjoy the photos from their rustic ranch wedding in Santa Barbara.
